Jeremy Clarkson Details “Long-Lasting” Injury Sustained During Clarkson’s Farm Filming

Farming is a dangerous career choice and Jeremy Clarkson has unfortunately found this out the hard way after sustaining a “long-lasting” injury during the filming of Clarkson’s Farm Season 2.

We had already heard the news last year that Jeremy had hurt himself during the year of filming, but now the Grand Tour presenter himself has detailed the event, admitting that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s job is more dangerous than his.

Revealing that he cut half his thumb off, he said:

“I cut half of my thumb off, but it’s all been sewn back on again now. It’s interesting that the
only proper injury I’ve sustained in farming – a long-lasting one – was actually from cooking,
rather than farming…

“Which just goes to show: Gordon Ramsay’s job is more dangerous than
mine.”

In November of 2021, the ex-Top Gear almost lost his leg during filming for Clarkson’s Farm. Talking on the Jonathan Ross Show, he discussed the incident:

“I got this thing called a telehandler, it’s like a JCB thing. I thought ‘I’ll just use its front to push the post in’.

“It got halfway into the ground and the fence was leaning on it and it flicked back. How it didn’t take my leg off… I didn’t walk properly for a week. This was a quarter of a tonne of fence post.”

Fans will likely see plenty more farming moments where Jeremy makes a fool of himself or manages to hurt himself further. But fortunately for fans, they won’t have to wait much longer.

Clarkson’s Farm Series 2 launches Friday 10th February 2023 on Prime Video.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
