A Modified Bentley Continental GT Is Now The Best Car Jeremy Clarkson’s Ever Driven

“What about the Lexus LFA?” I hear you cry. While that used to be the best car Jeremy Clarkson has ever driven, but Season 4 of The Grand Tour will see Jeremy’s love turn elsewhere. Now, the best car The Grand Tour host has ever driven is a modified Bentley Continental GT, according to a recent interview.

“The car I used in Madagascar, in the next Grand Tour that we’re doing which hasn’t even been covered we’ve just got back, that’s now the best car I’ve ever driven,” says Jeremy. “I can’t tell you what it was.

“I’ve never known such a heroic vehicle, so determined, strong.”

Now, this is where we go digging and thankfully we’ve already written about the three cars that have been spotted being driven by Clarkson, Hammond and May. The video is by The Grand Tour Fans and you can watch it below.

Hammond was driving a Ford Focus with large caterpillar tracks, James May is driving a Caterham with larger wheels than stock, and Jeremy is driving a lifted Bentley Continental GT. It’s been equipped with an external roll cage and snorkel, and looks perfectly suited to an off-road adventure.

The photo is extremely blurry, but you can just make it out below.

This is surely the car that Clarkson was discussing in the interview, and we can see why. It does look strong and heroic as Jeremy mentioned, especially when it’s set up to take whatever the terrain may throw at it.

This second episode of Season 4 which takes place in Madagascar as far as we know, is going to be aired around Spring time according to Andy Wilman, the show’s producer. On saying this, he did also mention that the timing is ultimately down to Amazon, so is likely to change.

Let us know which of the three cars you want in your garage. We’d more than likely take the Conti, but that tracked Focus is looking really good.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
