Bugatti Allegedly Sells $9.4 Million Centodieci to Cristiano Ronaldo
It’s not every day that a car sells for nearly $10 million. If any car does sell for that much, it tends to be a limited edition, or one-off, Bugatti.
In this case, one of only ten Bugatti Centodieci was reportedly sold to soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. Although Bugatti doesn’t disclose its individual sales, they aren’t exactly backing away from their relationship with Ronaldo.
The Centodieci was made to commemorate the 110th birthday of Ettore Bugatti and the lineage of EB110. It’s a heavily modified Chiron, with 20 kg, or 44 lbs, of less weight. The 8.0L quad-turbo W16 delivers an insane 1,577 horsepower. That’s just under 100 more horsepower than the Chiron.
As a result this one-of-ten Bugatti will reach 62 mph from a stand still in only 2.4 seconds. Its top speed is an electronically limited 236 mph. If Ronaldo wants to go any faster, he’ll have to become a hacker.
All of the Centodieci were reserved before the public even got wind of their upcoming release. This particular one will be a white and black colored model, which may remind the soccer player of his sport’s ball.
Since there will be nine more of these Bugatti Centodieci made to order over the next couple of years, maybe we will see one surpass the astronomical high price of this particular model.
