Bugatti Divo and Pur Sport Spotted Flying Around the Nurburgring
Words can hardly describe the wild sights and sounds of the two Bugatti hypercars filmed dominating the Nurburgring over the weekend. Both the new Bugatti Divo and Chiron Pur Sport were seen on the famous track, and the resulting shots are everything you’d hope for and more.
Youtuber, Automotive Mike, posted up at the recent Industry Pool over the weekend, and caught the two elusive cars worth a combined $8 million being tested.
Starting with the Chiron Pur Sport, which Bugatti made as a more handling-centric update to the standard Chiron. The 1500 horsepower beast has a top speed of 218 mph, the gear ratio was shortened and the weight was reduced by 110 pounds compared to the Chiron, so that it recover quickly from turns.
Since there are only 60 Pur Sports, it’s not every day that they are brought to a test track. Watching it go up the hill at the 1:04 mark really shows how insanely quick this thing is, since most of the time perspective can’t do justice to these kinds of feats of engineering.
Even more limited the the Pur Sport, the Bugatti Divo is the continuation of the lightweight track oriented trajectory of the brand. It’s 25 mph slower than its predecessor, but still has a quad-turbo W16 with 1,479 horsepower.
The 40 Divos will supposedly get around the track 8 seconds faster than Chirons. Thanks in part to their 77 pounds lightened construction, but 198 pounds of increased aerodynamic down force.
It’s a surprise that the Porsche briefly seen in the video can even come near the Divo to be caught in frame. $5.8 million has never looked better whipping around a turn.
