James May Plays a Game With His First Cars
This title could have been a lot better, but it’s surprisingly hard to come up with one considering James is not talking about his actual first cars, but rather what the first car to come to mind is when asked a series of questions. Well, I thought to myself, what better way to start a Friday than to play this game myself with a steaming cup of coffee?
In his latest DriveTribe post, James talks about how an office boy ran a simple test on James; he said a car type, and James had to name the first thing that popped into his head. This is a game that I myself, and I’m sure many of you as well, have played numerous times, but interestingly enough, I don’t seem to have ever played it with an automotive theme. Weird, right?
To start, here were James’ answers:
1) Pick-up
Toyota Hilux
2) Mid-engined supercar
Lamborghini Countach
3) Hot hatch
VW Golf GTi
4) Estate/station wagon
Volvo 245
5) MPV/Minivan
Previa
6) Van
GMC Vandura
7) Hybrid
Prius
8) Roadster
Mazda MX-5
9) Off Roadster
Meyers Manx Beach Buggy tribute
10) Muscle Car
Pontiac Trans Am
Well alrighty, then. A very James-esque list, if I say so myself, though I’m surprised at his Trans Am selection for muscle. I would have expected a Mustang, but then again, it’s James and I would expect him to claim that the Mustang is actually a pony car, and therefore why it wasn’t his pick.
You know what’s coming up, right? Yup, you and I are going to play this game. So here we go!
