James May Will Now Help You Pass Your Theory Test With New App

James May, or Captain Slow as we know him from Top Gear and The Grand Tour, is a very careful driver. In fact, he’s known for it. But behind the scenes and facade he puts on for is endless TV driving shows, he’s actually a very skilled wheelman. Now, he’s willing to pass on his knowledge with a new app that will help you pass your driving theory test.

In his own words, the driving theory test is “incredibly dull”, but we’re sure using this app will make it a much more interesting experience with exciting new techniques to teach you your theory, plus videos from the man himself to get you on the road as soon as possible.

James says, “Driving is brilliant, but sadly in order to get to drive you have to pass the driving theory test which – and there’s no two ways about this – is exceptionally dull. But even if it’s dull, it’s also important because there’s lots in it you genuinely need to know if you’re not going to kill yourself or other people once you’re behind the wheel. And you’re going to have to do it. Because if you don’t, you won’t be able to drive. And if you can’t drive, you will be lonely and have no friends.”

The app boasts smart algorithms that will help boost your learning and memory, plus a complete set of practice questions and hazard perception clips to hone your skills. According to James, they’ve used “real science” to make this one hell of a resource for those trying to get on the road quickly and safely.

“Despite what my esteemed television co-hosts may have implied over the years, being a safe driver is much cooler than being a complete oaf,” James says.

You can find the app on the iOS store for £4.99 but Android users will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on it.
