Jeremy Clarkson Admits Climate Change Is Real

If you know Jeremy Clarkson, then you know he’s quite opinionated. In fact, that’s an understatement. On countless occasions he’s made his opinion heard either in his column, TV work, or Twitter, and often it gets him stuck with an onslaught of hate on social media.

Today, he admits that his beliefs in regard to climate change have been wrong. Since a stint of tie filming in Cambodia, he is now aware that climate change is an issue. On speaking to the Sunday Times, he says that he’s seen the effect climate change has had – a “graphic demonstration of global warming” while boating through Cambodia for The Grand Tour Season 4

“The irony is not lost on me. A man who hosted a car programme for 30 years, limited to 7mph by global warming.

It’s the first time that we’ve ever admitted to there being global warming. We were completely screwed on that [trip].

There was no water in the Tonle Sap lake. I mean, it was knee-deep. And you could paddle in it. So we had two days of absolute frustration — being towed and grounding.”

Of course, he holds by his dig at Greta Thunberg.

“It was alarming, genuinely alarming. But we don’t blame mankind for it. We’ll let Greta do that.”

This is a big turning point for The Grand Tour presenter, who has always been an unbeliever of climate change. With his influence sprouting far and wide, this could have more of an effect on people making a difference than we expect, but we’ll have to see what comes from this.

One thing’s for sure, he isn’t going to start driving a Prius, and he’ll never own an electric car.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]

  1. It’s amazing what a younger piece of vagina will do to your brain Jeremy. The climate changed 500 times before mankind existed and will change 500 times after we are gone. To think that we can stop it, slow it down, or otherwise have some long term effect on it is rather pompous and arrogant. We are not that important. We aren’t changing anything that is already set in natural motion.

    1. I sold my soul for a hot piece of ass. Jeremy is in good company. All old men wearing trendy clothes for their girlfriend.
      Silly and privileged.

  2. This has always been his stance, that climate change is real, but man’s contribution to it is insignificant. If you listen to the full radio broadcast from 12 or 13 years ago when the then- Top Gear trio took over a show for an afternoon, in the first few minutes he pretty much argues exactly this.
