Jeremy Clarkson Comments On Current UK Energy Crisis: “Anyone With Half A Brain Could See This Coming”

Jeremy Clarkson has discussed the energy crisis the UK is experiencing right now in his latest column for The Sun.

Last week, a power cable that transfers electricity from France to Britain was severed by a large fire, and since then the energy sector has been crippled with many companies struggling to stay afloat or ramping up their prices.

The Grand Tour presenter added his comments to the situation in his latest column:

“We haven’t even built our new nuclear power station yet because the few eco-loons who aren’t currently glued to the M25 are running about on the proposed site finding voles.

“Anyone with half a brain could have seen this coming.

“That if we nail our colours to the mast of green power, events would inevitably gang up to ensure that one day, we’d have none at all.”

He added that he isn’t confident that we won’t have any power cuts before listing everything that could be affected by such a thing.

He continued:

“The only people who’d be unaffected are the woodland weirdos you see on Countryfile who make a living by boiling wood to make hoes.”

He agreed that there would be “some downsides” to not having electricity, but recalled the powercut of 1974, describing it as “wasn’t all bad”.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]

  1. Jeremy is 100 percent right. The environmentalists have brought us to this point where the world can not do anything without a 10 thousand page report on how it would effect a big from migrating because some ass hole says that if something is built it will cause the bug to become extinct. So here we are today with people suffering from Heat exposure because a local plant needs the power to keep going or it will shut down this causing an economic disaster for everyone. Now we all site around and wonder what’s next. It’s only a matter of time before the environmentalists have put us all in the dark again!!!
