Jeremy Clarkson On Why You Should Watch The New Grand Tour Episode: “Plenty Of Accidents”

The Grand Tour’s new special episode, A Scandi Flick, is ready to be watched on Prime Video from today, and while many of you will be jumping at the thought of it, presenter Jeremy Clarkson has still told us exactly why us fans should watch.

While talking to the press, including Grand Tour Nation, Jeremy was asked what he, Richard Hammond and James May’s intentions were with the Norway-based episode, especially as this one focusses a lot more on cars than the previous.

“We try to mix it up!” Jeremy said. “If we do a light-hearted, fluffy, Grand Tour, the car enthusiasts say, ‘It’s not what it used to be,’ and if we do a more car-focused version, then the casual viewer says, ‘I didn’t understand any of that.’

“But we decided to go fairly hardcore on this one and chose three cars which are extremely popular among car enthusiasts. I mean petrol-heads love them, certainly two of the three cars we had.”

The trio traveled across the gorgeous country with three rally-inspired cars: a Mitsubishi Evo, a Subaru Impreza, and an Audi RS4. Exploring the world of rally racing and how much of its iconic history these cars retain, they each fell in love with their respected cars.

But while this sounds pretty full-on for the average viewer who isn’t into cars, Jeremy assures us that they won’t be forgotten:

“Well, there are plenty of accidents and mishaps to keep the casual viewer entertained, that’s for sure.

“And it was cold, and we were able to have a laugh at the expense of those who claim that it’s Europe’s last wilderness, because it sure as hell isn’t. It’s a fascinating place to visit.

“I’ve been up there a few times, and I’m just amazed that anyone would carry on living there.”

The Grand Tour: A Scandi Flick is now available to watch on Prime Video.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
