Jeremy Clarkson Reveals When The Grand Tour Scotland Special Could Be Released

Talking on the Andy Jaye podcast, Jeremy Clarkson has revealed when he expects The Grand Tour Scotland special to be released onto Amazon Prime Video. This is great news for fans of the car show who have been annoyed about the late release of the most recent episode, A Massive Hunt.

Before he sheds light on the air date however, the ex-Top Gear presenter talks about why they chose Scotland.

“We couldn’t go abroad obviously, I think everyone will understand why, so we did Scotland.”

He was then asked about the air date for the Scotland special, where they were spotted driving three old American cars from Edinburgh to the Outer hebrides.

He said: “I would have guessed you would have seen Madagascar in May and here we are in December.

“So when is Scotland happening? Ready steady, June.

“It won’t be, it won’t be but it could be shown in June I think.”

We don’t know a lot about the Scotland Special, but the trio were seen hauling three modified caravans around the country, before they modified the cars they were driving for a suspected drag race. Previously, he has admitted that this episode will only be 60 minutes long, compared to the usual 90-minute specials that we’re used to. Obviously this is down to the effects of the pandemic on travel and the short amount of time they had to film.

“We’ve just been to the Outer Hebrides, it’s not a 90-minute special but a 60-minute one,” he said, also commenting on his annoyance for the pandemic:

“In some ways it makes me a bit annoyed because I’ve got so little of the world left to see and I’m not getting round and seeing it.

“I would love to be in Zimbabwe right now, or Iran, or any other handful of countries I haven’t been to and ticking them all off. But, I’m not.”

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
