Jeremy Clarkson Slams Comedy Duo Over Drinking Conviction After Clarkson’s Farm Prank

After Jeremy Clarkson’s Farm was reportedly a target for eco-warriors last year, it quickly turned out to be Ant and Dec, a presenting duo from the UK, playing a trick on The Grand Tour presenter for their show, Saturday Night Takeaway. Jeremy, who had just released his popular Amazon Prime Video show Clarkson’s Farm, attended Saturday Night Takeaway live from the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire studio to talk with the pair about their antics.

But fans were taken aback by Jeremy’s introduction as he quickly brought up Ant McPartlin’s drink-driving offense. Look it’s the driver and his friend,” Jeremy said when he was first introduced, leading fans to comment on the “awkward” interaction.

In 2018, Ant was fined almost £90,000 when he admitted he was guilty of drunk driving. He was also disqualified from driving for 20 months.

“Blimey poor Ant,” one fan tweeted. “Clarkson got the car driver dig in & you could see the moment Ant’s heart got ripped out #SaturdayNightTakeaway.”

Another added, “Did Clarkson actually make a driver and his mate joke at Ant after his incident before? Ant looked fuming! #saturdaynighttakeaway.”

A third noted the “awkwardness” over the TV:

“Did Jeremy really just say ‘the driver and his mate’ while on about Ant and Dec….. could feel the awkwardness through the tv #antanddec #SaturdayNightTakeaway.”
