Jeremy Clarkson Takes Swipe At James May During Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? is back on our screens on ITV with Jeremy Clarkson still at the helm as quizmaster. This year, we’re looking forward to seeing the first £1,000,000 jackpot winner in 14 years of the show. As usual, Clarkson is his joking self, although maybe slightly close to the line as you may have seen yesterday when he brought up his Top Gear Argentinian controversy. But this time, he aimed his jokes at fellow The Grand Tour presenter, James May.
The contestant, a 27-year-old names Saul, looked promising as he looked forward to taking on the long list of questions, but on introducing the contestant, Clarkson was keen to add a swipe at James May.
“Okay, 27 years old, you are Saul Sylvester from Hammersmith,” Jeremy said.
Saul nodded at Clarkson before the presenter continued:
“That’s where James May lives,” he added with a disgusted look on his face.
Saul laughs and agrees with him. “Yeah, I know, I’ve seen him.”
The quiz began and Saul started confidently, although the questions soon began to get progressively harder and quickly he was using up his lifelines.
At £16,000, he had to use Phone A Friend and a 50/50, eventually making it to £32,000 where he placed a safety net. Fortunately, he got this question right, but sadly went home with the money without progressing further.
