Most Top Gear fans are familiar with the more recent Christmas special Argentina episodes and the controversy that surrounded the ending of the film due to a license plate on Clarkson’s Porsche 928, which we now know, as the trio and the Top Gear producers insisted, was completely coincidental.

While the ill-fated Porsche didn’t have a vanity plate, there have been some very amusing plates on Top Gear that were real gems. The BEII END plate for example, and definitely the A55HOL plate (below).
