2021 Nissan X-Tera Receives Huge Update Both In And Out With Facelift Model

The new Nissan X-Terra SUV has just been revealed for the Middle-Eastern market with noticeable updates both in and outside the car. Known simply as the Terra in other markets, these upgrades, while only a facelift, are rather substantial.

The SUV has taken on the V-motion grille design, bumper shape, and DRL-lined headlights, meaning the car now largely bears resemblance to the Patrol. It’s also now available with 7 extra paint options, including the burgundy you can see in the video below.

Under the hood, the car receives a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which sends power to each of the four wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox, a limited-slip differential at the front, and an electronically locking differential at the rear. Not much else is known about this unit just yet, but we’ll be sure to update you as the full specs are released.

Inside receives a major update, with the X-Terra now featuring Zero Gravity Seats on the first and second row, boasting the best-in-class ride according to Nissan. Acoustic glass used on the front and sides also helps restrict unnecessary road noise. The dashboard has been fully redesigned and is finished in soft-touch materials adding to the premium feel of the SUV, and its centre console is now home to a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen and display. This, and a host of safety technology included in the Platinum variant of the Terra, including Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Driver Alertness and Intelligent Emergency Braking, makes this one of the safest and most technologically up to date in its class.

To top off the impressive X-Terra, it receives Nissan’s latest three-spoke steering wheel.

The 2021 X-Terra will hit the market next month in the Middle East.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
