710 HP Hellcat Durango Announced by Dodge – Most Powerful SUV In The World

The Hellcat might not have had enough room in it for all of your kids and groceries, but now Dodge have officially solved all of your problems, with the 2021 Durango Hellcat. It’s coming in hot and fast, with a bid ‘ol 6.2L V8 and AWD standard, so you better start dropping hints about the upgrade.

That monster engine will put out 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque, and will be mated to an eight-speed automatic. As for performance specs, it will go 0-60 mph in an absurd 3.5 seconds. It’ll run a quarter mile in just 11.5 seconds, and reach 180 mph before topping out!

If you stop next to a Challenger at a red light, don’t forget to mention how your Durango Hellcat can tow 8,700 lbs.

Brembo brakes come with six-piston calipers up front and four-piston in the rear. Dodge fitted sport-tuned suspension, sport-tuned suspension, 20-inch wheels, and Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires.

As fantastic as that sounds, it wouldn’t be as cool if not for Dodge’s facelift for the Durango’s exterior, which makes it look suitably sporty. A new splitter on the chin, grille redesign, air-intakes, air hood, spoiler, and dual exhaust make it look very mean indeed.

The inside has been made to look more like the Challenger, with upgraded features like a flat-bottomed steering wheel and paddle shifters, as well as Napa leather seats. The infotainment system sports a 10.1″ Uconnect display.

Order books open in the Fall, and Hellcats will arrive in dealerships early next year.
