An 800 HP Shelby Mustang GT500 Signature Edition Has Been Announced

If you’re a big Shelby GT500 fan, then you’re in for some good news. The brand has now announced two new special editions of Ford’s flagship muscle car. The GT350 and GT500 Signature Editions, which have a boatload of styling and performance upgrades.

The GT500’s supercharged 5.2L V8 engine receives an upgraded supercharger pulley, a high-volume intercooler and an optimized heat exchanger.

With all said, it now gets a double digit, 40 horsepower to be exact, bump up to over 800 horsepower!

On the style side, Shelby have given a vented carbon fiber hood, reducing weight by 30 pounds. It’s also got 20-inch aluminum wheels with performance tires, and a pair of stripes.

If you pay a little extra, you can get more carbon fiber and a widebody kit.

The suspension has been recalibrated, and the springs, half shafts, and sway bars have been replaced with better spec’d versions. Shelby also didn’t forget to rework the caster camber plates.

The seats have been reupholstered with leather, and signed with Carroll Shelby’s John Hancock. Of course, there is also a bunch of new signature edition badges.

For these options, you’ll have to pay at least $29,995 on top of the price of a standard GT500, and then $9,995 on if you intend to put a GT350 through its “Signature Edition” paces.
