Cottage With A Go Kart Track In Its Back Garden Is Now For Sale

I was just sent a link from a friend of mine alongside a surge of capital letters. “WE NEED TO BUY THIS,” he said. Yep, he’s very right. Because the link he sent me was of a house for sale in Castlefinn, County Donegal, Ireland, and it had a go kart track within its 8-acres of land.

According to the sales page, it’s a track that can be used commercially, so already the purchase would be paying for itself! And the cottage is far from a disappointment. It’s got two bedrooms with a gorgeous country-styled kitchen equipped with a Belfast sink and, a solid fuel stove, and cast iron radiators.

It’s got exposed brick and views out the back of ponds with a shipwreck. Yes, the current owners seem to have a flare for fun and imagination. They’re my kinda people!

There’s plenty of space to construct barns so those with an interest in equestrian and horses would love this property. But we’re not into horses, we’re into horsepower, and because of that I can’t stop thinking about that track.

According to the Irish Mirror it is 1,000 metres in length and has been designed for the karts to reach speeds of around 55mph. There are barns surrounding the track which can even be renovated into garages for when you’re done racing and want to tinker instead. Oh, and there’s plenty of space for you to invite your mates round to have a quick race with a fully-functioning car park also on the property.

So if I haven’t completely sold it to you, take a look at the house by clicking here. And if I have, then you might want to get in touch with the company selling it… I’ll race you to it.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]

  1. The property is advertised as residential only. That perfectly surfaced track and car park will unlikely ever be used.

  2. It’s a lovely bit of land bit the reason I clicked on this article is to find out how much the property is.
