Five Insane Supercars You’ve Never Heard Of
When we think of supercars, we think of a Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Porsche or a Bugatti. However, to do so is selling ourself short as there are a ton of supercars you’ve never heard of that are out there and challenging the top players.
This one is for the one percenters, here is our top five supercars you’ve never heard of:
5. Maybach Exelero
First at number five is the Maybach Exelero. This was a one off supercar made in collaboration with Daimler Chrysler and Stola (who is now part of Blutec).
First introduced at the Tempodrom, Berlin in 2005- the Exelero has a 5.9 litre twin-turbocharged V12 under the hood pumping out 690 hp and 753 ft/lb of torque at 2500 rpm. This power meant that the Excelsior has a top speed of 218 mph (351 km/h) and a 0-62mph time of 4.4 seconds.
Not bad considering you will likely also benefit from the immense luxury that a Maybach provides. The Excelsior is believed to have been sold to rapper, Birdman, in 2011 for $8 million.
4. Arrinera Hussarya
Next up is the first ever supercar to be designed and engineered in Poland, the Arrinera Hussarya – and to be honest, it’s a big of a beast.
The Hussarya comes with a supercharged mid-engine 6.2 litre V8 engine, which produces a huge 789 bhp. The massive V8 gives the Hussarya a top speed of 271.5mph (350 km/h), a 0-62 mph in 3 seconds and 0-124mph in an insane 13 seconds.
3. Trion Nemesis RR
The Trion Nemesis is a mid-engined four wheel drive supercar from California, USA. An upcoming car, the Trion Nemesis RR is going to have a gigantic 9.0 litre twin turbo V8 engine, which can apparently produce 2000 horsepower.
While this car is a street legal vehicle, it is set to beat the land speed record as well as become the fastest production car ever. You can pre order one of these monsters if you have a spare $1.6 million lying around.
2. Panoz Abruzzi
The Panoz Abruzzi was a grand tourer supercar which was intended for production in Europe and looks like the Batmobile gone wrong. Produced by American based, Panoz Auto Development, the Abruzzi’s production was to be limited to only 81 units. It was expected to be available between 2011 and 2013, with a starting price of £330,000.
The Panoz Abruzzi made its racing debut at the 12 hours of Sebring in 2011 with its supercharged 6.2 litre V8 engine producing 650 hp and 590 lb/fr of torque.
Sadly the vehicle never made it to market and in July 2014 was removed from the Panoz website, never to be seen again.
1. TranStar Racing Dagger GT
The TranStar Racing Dagger GT is our number one for this list and to be honest, it wouldn’t look out of place in Lamborghini’s catalogue. The Racing Dagger GT is said to generate 2,700 horsepower thanks to its massive 10.4 litre twin-turbo V8 engine.

You know what’s a pattern in this list? The American supercars you’ve never heard of do not exist, while the non-American cars have actual versions that aren’t just pretty CGI renders. The Dagger GT was announced over 10 years ago, and there still isn’t a single actual picture of it in existence. We’ll see how the Trion fares, they’re supposed to release a production version in 2021, but I’m not confident since they too have zero real images of even a prototype.
