Forza Horizon 5 Blows Our Minds With Its Latest Promotional Video

To be honest, a three-minute movie is hardly anything to write home about. But this promotional video for Forza Horizon 5 is a work of art with real people, gorgeous cars, and incredible driving mixed with real gameplay. This has to be one of the greatest ways I’ve ever seen a game being advertised, and it makes me so excited for the next Horizon instalment.

On November 5, Forza Horizon 5 will be released in limited capacity, but we’re loving what we’re seeing so far.

The video follows a taxi driver, or as named by the video itself, “the getaway driver”. He’s sat in his classic BMW E12 5 Series eating before a fuelled up version of himself jumps into the backseats and tells him to send it.

The Bimmer drives through a jungle near some ancient ruins, outrunning a sandstorm before cruising around a lake. After leaping literally over the jungle and landing in town just in time to race an old air-conditioned Porsche 911 along the waterfront, driver and passenger sit down infant of the ocean. It’s the kind of thing that makes you want to chill out with your mates in your perfectly built car after a close to the call race. And that’s exactly how you should feel.

Forza Horizon is a racing game series that has always leaned to the arcade side of the virtual racetrack, however a genuinely open world with a large selection of vehicles has made it quite popular among casual and expert gamers.

Forza Horizon 5 is based in Mexico, and it reportedly features almost 500 cars for players to select from, making it by far the most extensive in-game map of any prior Forza Horizon title. In other words, if there’s one thing this trailer hints at, it’s that there will be an enormous virtual globe to explore.

We can’t wait to hit the roads.
