General Motors Gives Its Opinion On Emelia Hartford’s 1,000 HP Corvette C8

Emelia Hartford’s 2020 C8 Corvette is one fast machine, and we’re sure people will be impressed by the abilities that it exhibits. In her most recent YouTube video, Emelia is invited by General Motors to check out the 2024 all-electric Hummer SUV. Emelia accepts the invitation to visit GM with her street-legal, record-breaking C8. You can find out exactly what GM thought of her car by watching the video below:

Let us give you the lowdown of this coveted speed machine.YouTube celebrity Emelia Hartford and her team decided to tweak a 2020 C8 Corvette that came from the factory with the 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine that produces at least 495 horsepower and an impressive 470 lb-ft torque.

Because of a rather annoying C8 ECU, these cars are meant to be very difficult to tune and improve. Emelia and her team were able to overcome this fact and transform their Corvette into a quarter-mile monster.

2021 Corvette C8 Gets Incredible Split-Window Design

To propel the Corvette to new heights, they added a twin-turbo setup and a standalone Holley ECU. Emelia and her team were seeking the most powerful C8, and guess what? They got it. The C8 was capable of producing 1,022 horsepower and 942 lb.ft torque right where the rubber meets the tarmac.

The ultimate goal was to break the quarter-mile record of 9.95 seconds set by a boosted C8 made by Extreme Turbo Systems. Their journey to a record-breaking time was not easy, but at the end of it all, they managed to achieve an incredible time of only 9.36 seconds at a speed of 147mph. Today, this C8 called Phoenix, and it’s an internet sensation with plenty to boast about. Emelia even got an offer of $180,000 for her C8 last month from a distant admirer.

It’s no surprise that the guys down at GM loved the car. Emelia and her prized possession received plenty of praise and positivity from the GM team for what they’ve achieved, but this is obviously what we expected.

Alex Harrington

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
