This Hillclimb 4C Has A Formula 3000 Engine And Looks And Sounds Incredible!

This Alfa Romeo 4C looks far from stock, but the major changes sit beneath the bodywork away from prying eyes. As it launches from the starting line, though, you’re given a hint at what is lying behind the driver from the sound screaming from the dual exhaust.

This Alfa has been given a taste of Formula 3000 in the shape of a 3.0-litre Zytek V8 which are used in the sport, where the original 4 cylinder used to sit. It emits 450 horses which effortlessly pull the 700kg car up the hill in a rather tremendous and sonorous fashion.

Not only does it sound the part, but it looks the part, too, with an almost completely redesigned shell to encompass the new 18-inch wheels as well as a redesigned steering box.

The car’s also been decked out from top to bottom with aerodynamic trickery. A large wing, diffuser, splitters, plenty of fins to keep it stuck to the road surface.

So enjoy the video, and enjoy one of the best sounding 4Cs in the world while it tested at the 2017 Verzegnis – Sella Chianzutan hillclimb.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
