Behold Lamborghini’s Sian Roadster a V12 Hybrid with 819 HP… and an Unfortunate Color
The original Lamborghini Sian Coupe costs an eye-watering $3.7 million dollars. If that wasn’t insane enough, the only logical next step was to say “remove the roof.” In doing so, we have now had the Lamborghini Siam Roadster unveiled to the world.
It’s got a 6.5L naturally aspirated V12, which has been paired with an electric motor that adds an additional 34 horsepower. Combined, the Sian Roadster is good for the sought-after 1:1 power ration, of 819 horsepower for its 819 kg weight.
It will make 0-62 mph in a 2.9 second moment’s notice, and will top out at 217 mph.
It is the expression of breathtaking design and extraordinary performance, but most importantly embodies important future technologies. The Sian’s innovative hybrid powertrain heralds the direction for Lamborghini super sports cars, and the open-top Sian Roadster affirms a desire for the ultimate lifestyle Lamborghini as we move towards a tomorrow demanding new solutions.
There is however, one MASSIVE problem. The flashy blue color, which adorns the first unveil model of the Sian Roadster. Lamborghini’s Centro Stile and Ad Personam department chose this color above all to represent the model.
It’s called… Blu Uranus.
That’s far enough Lamborghini. You’re being put in time-out, until you either paint the car a better named color, or release a V16 with a 100 horsepower electric motor. We simply can’t let these shenanigans go unpunished!
Anyway, the wheels are an electric themed “Oro Electrum” set. Which do look quite spicy.
All of the 19 planned Sian Roadsters have sold out. No telling what the ungodly sales figures were. I’d like to see the look on the face of the owner of the Blu Uranus model when he first realizes the scope of his ~$4 million decision.
