Bugatti Chiron Owner Attacked By Thieves After His $130,000 Rolex

A Bugatti Chiron driver was attacked by two thieves riding mopeds in central London. The thieves were caught on camera smashing the windows of the Chiron and were reportedly trying to steal the driver’s watch.

We can see in the video that the pair were armed with hammers which they use to smash the window and side panels of the car whilst it was stuck in traffic. One of the robbers was dressed a Deliveroo delivery rider.

According to reports from LBC, the Bugatti driver, Abdullah F. AI Basman, managed to speed away before the thieves were able to get into the car. LBC reported:

“The Met confirmed it is investigating a report of a robbery that is alleged to have happened in Curzon Street, Mayfair, shortly before 5pm on Sunday. A man aged in his 40s reported being assaulted by two men who stole his watch.

“Officers said they are also aware of video appearing to show an attempted robbery nearby on Park Lane at around the same time of the incident, which they believed to be linked.”

It is thought that the thieves were trying to get the drivers watch due to comparisons to a similar attack that recently took place. The watch was a platinum Rolex Daytona which is reportedly over $130,000. This is according to Autoevolution, who wrote:

“A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told the local media that a similar incident happened in the area earlier that day, when two men fitting the description stole a watch from another victim.”

There have not been any arrests made yet and AI Basman was luckily not injured during the incident.
