Dodge Challenger 50th Anniversary Edition Gets A Commemorative Run

So perhaps you’ve seen the 50th Anniversary Edition Dodge Challengers. The Special edition of Dodge’s iconic car, came out last year, and was available in a limited run of 70 units, per trim level.

Well, if you didn’t grab one, I have some good news for you. Dodge is doing an open edition of Commemorative 50th Anniversary cars. So now, instead of getting the limited version, you can get a less-limited edition of that Anniversary car.

These will come in three different trims, the R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and R/T Scat Pack Widebody. The main differentiation in these Challengers is their hand-painted satin black hoods, and black wrapped roofs.

The cars also come with special badges, that read “Gold School” and “Challenger 50th Anniversary” on the rear spoiler and grille. They also have a Brembo brake package which features gunmetal brake calipers that can be seen through the unique 20-inch wheels.

The interior gets some real carbon fiber and copper wire accenting, as well as new white-faced gauges with yellow accents. The seats are special Black Nappa Leather and Alcantara. Of course, they also continue the “50” logos and accents.

Now, it is a bit of a head-scratcher to have a run of cars commemorating a run of anniversary cars. Whatever the logic behind them, if you’re interested, they can be had on Dodge’s website, and will ship this fall.
