GTA 5’s Ramp Buggy Has Been Made In Real Life In Insane YouTube Build

In a run of recent videos by the YouTube channel, Burning Wrenches, they’ve built the Ramp Buggy from Grand Theft Auto 5. Included in the Import/Export update, this ramp car is able to tear through traffic while looking badass, so obviously, they had to make the dream become a reality.

The game’s war stock Cache & Carry had this to say about the vehicle:

Ever looked at a city-center traffic jam and seen nothing but a long, glorious opportunity? It doesn’t have to be a dream: with BF’s Ramp Buggy, yesterday’s gridlock becomes today’s meteor shower in your rearview mirror.

Note, the production model of this vehicle has reduced armor plating.

The chassis was custom built by Burning Wrenches using 3D models from the game to get the right measurements. The suspension was custom made by the team from cars and parts they had sitting around, as was the steering. Eventually, an unknown 1.7-litre, 85 horsepower engine was hoisted into the frame to power the vehicle, and the rest of the powertrain was fettled together.

This is some serious work, and while it’s a bit Mad Max, this is all done from junk in a warehouse so the guy’s talent has to be celebrated.

Finally, the vehicle was clad with rusty metal sheets and the tests begin. You can follow the build below:

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
