Lamborghini Confirms Three New Models This Year

Lamborghini has had the most successful half-year of its life with a turnover of €1.33 billion, almost a third more than the previous period, and profit increased by almost 70% to €425 million. This is mostly thanks to the Urus SUV, which accounted for 61% of its total deliveries.

Now, with this success happily celebrated, the Italian supercar company is pleased to announce that it’s ready to reveal three more products before the end of this year that includes a couple of Urus variations, as well as a new version of the Huracan.

Not a lot else is known about these new versions, but we can guess that the Huracan variant will be the Sterrato – an off-road ready Huracan that boasts all-wheel drive, a high ride height, and thick plastic armour on its already insane body. Two fog lights adorn the front bumper, and it rides on thick tyres ready to absorb anything that can be thrown at it.

It’s quite exciting, especially as this could be the last V10 car Lamborghini ever builds before it sets its sights to hybrid power.

The two Urus… (Uri?) will be more of a guess, but we’re expecting a more powerful Evo version that’s already been spotted testing in Germany, and likely a hybrid version.

This isn’t where it stops, however, as Lamborghini has already said that its 2023 will be full with all the orders it’s already received. But more importantly, the marque will be focussing on the release of the replacement of the Aventador, its halo car of the brand and a marker for where Lamborghini wants to take itself as we enter the world of electrification.

So far we know it will be powered by an all-new V12 engine as well as a hybrid system, but specifics are so far being kept under wraps. 2028 will see the brand look at a full EV, but for now, it seems as though it wants to keep the sound of dinosaurs alive and well.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
