Lamborghini Donates €500,000 To Support Ukraine Amid Russian Invasion

Lamborghini has revealed that after its most profitable year in the company’s history, it’s donated €500,000 to a charity helping refugees in Ukraine.

Lamborghini broke records as 8,405 cars were delivered worldwide during 2021. This was up 13% from the year before, with the Urus SUV consisting of 5,021 of those units. The Huracan was the marque’s second best seller with almost 2,600 sold, and the Aventador obviously backed the list with almost 800 sales.

But now Lamborghini has confirmed that while they’ve seen huge profits for 2021, they’ve donated €500,000 to The United Nations Refugee Agency. In an Instagram post, the company said the following:

“We concluded 2021 with our best financial results ever and we decided to concretely support Ukrainian people struggling right now with a donation of 500,000 € to @refugees, The United Nations Refugee Agency. ”

“Some numbers: our turnover reached +19% over 2020, 8,405 cars were delivered globally (+13% compared to 2020) and our operating margin more than doubled compared to 2018, hitting 20.2%, with an operating income up by 49% compared to 2020.”

Fans were quick to celebrate the large donation with the post amassing almost 300 comments within a couple of hours.

The UN Refugee Agency helps refugees across the world, but after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine earlier this month, they’re focussing specifically on growing donations to this cause. According to the charity’s official site, they help by “providing protection and humanitarian assistance, including emergency shelters, repairs for homes damaged by shelling, emergency cash assistance, and protection such as psychological support.”

“Winter relief is also provided for displaced people in need as temperatures plummet, such as high thermal blankets.”

The half a million euro donation from Lamborghini will most certainly help those who need it in Ukraine.
