Lego Technic Land Rover Defender Has Fully Working Low-Range Gears
With the new Land Rover Defender well and truly revealed, it’s only right that LEGO Technic make their own version to please those of us who can’t afford, or haven’t got the space for the new off-roader.
Yep, this one, you can balance on the dwindling amount of space on your desk or shelf next to tall the other toys… I mean… models, you own. But do your other models have working independent suspension? What about working steering? Okay, let’s get into the details.
Under the bonnet is a six-cylinder with a working valvetrain, and the working gearbox has a switch to choose between the high and low range. Plus, just like the Adventure Pack on the real car, you get a working winch, a roof rack, and storage boxes.
“The new transmission system has two levers for engaging high or low ratios and a selector for changing gear – Lego Technic’s most sophisticated gearbox yet”, LEGO says. this is quite the design from the clever guys and girls at the Danish company.
“You can also fold the rear seat forward to view the four-speed sequential gearbox, lift the bonnet to view the in-line six-cylinder engine with moving pistons and turn the rear-mounted spare wheel to open the rear door.”
Let’s not kid around, you want one, don’t you.
Cant wait til they have actual working lego cars
