Listen To The Koenigsegg Jesko Hit The Roads Near Factory

After a long old wait for Koenigsegg fans, we can now bask in the fact that the Swedish car manufacturer has released videos of the much anticipated Jesko hypercar, and yes, we can hear the roar of its massive 5 litre twin turbo V8.

In the videos posted to its Instagram, Koenigsegg are taking the brand new and camouflaged Jesko for a spin near its factory in Angelholm.

Koenigsegg first unvailed the Jesko at the Geneva Motor Show last year and the hypercar is the successor to the Agera RS. There are currently two cars being developed at present by Koenigsegg, the Jesko and the hybrid Regera – unlike the Regera, the Jesko will not feature any form of electric or hybrid technology so to offer the ultimate driving experience and performance compared to any other road legal Koenigsegg before it.

I touched on the Jesko’s engine earlier. While, most other Koenigsegg’s also offer the 5 litre twin turbo V8 engine, the Jesko stands unique thanks to its flat-plane 180 degree crankshaft that allows the engine to rev to an absolutely deafening 8,500 rpm causing it to sound more like a jet engine than a Koenigsegg.

If you are millionaire looking to buy one of these beasts? Well I can only imagine there is one thing on your mind, and that is turbo lag. ‘Surely those twin turbo-chargers will give the Jeska a lot of turbo lag’ you say, well no in fact as they are connected to a small electric compressor that drives air into them and pretty much eliminates the lag at all.

The Koenigsegg Jesko also utilises a flexible fuel system which can run on your standard, high-octane petrol but can also be run on E85, an ethanol based fuel.

If you are able to get your hands on one of these beauties, you’ll be one of only 125 in the world.. and it’ll set you back an eye watering $3 million USD.
