Mansory Debuts Its New Audi RS7 Sportsback, And It’s A Complete Yob
Although Mansory is one of the most popular tuners in the world, it isn’t always for the best reasons. Some of their aftermarket kits can be excessive, with comical body additions and insane interior decorations that aren’t necessarily great choices. The Audi RS7 Sportback is now part of the firm’s line-up for the first time, but is it more of the same or has Mansory finally hit it out of the park?
The new Audi RS7 from Mansory comes decked out in Nardo Gray and has numerous carbon-fiber improvements to give the high-performance Sportback a more contrasting and angry look. A bigger front splitter, a larger rear diffuser, and a tiny spoiler on the tailgate all contribute to this, although some may think it’s a bit OTT. Sideskirts, also made from carbon fibre, have been slung along the side of the car.
Honestly, we’re not so sure about these Mansory-esque additions to the exterior of the car, as the standard car is already aggressive enough. But the quad exhaust exits at the rear are rather desirable, especially over the oval tips Audi equips its factory RS cars with. They’re far more angular, suiting the aggressive lines of the bodywork.
The Audi’s bright blue exterior accents continue inside where the sleek vehicle has a two-tone appearance with a blue primary color combined with black surfaces. The Four Rings of the Audi logo were removed from the steering wheel and replaced with Mansory’s logo before being covered in leather and carbon-fiber. There’s also leather on the floor, along with Alcantara on the pillars. And yes, it does look grotesque, but we’ll look past this for now as it has plenty more to offer under the hood.
The Audi RS7 Sportback’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine has been developed by Mansory. It generates a peak of 770 horsepower (574 kW) and torques of 1,000 Newton-meters (738 pound-feet). The Audi RS7 Sportback can now reach 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 3 seconds flat thanks to these potent improvements.
So what say you? Too much? Or just the right amount of yob?
