Mr Bean’s Modified 1977 Mini Is The Best Thing You’ll See Today
What do you get if you cross Mr Bean’s 1977 British Leyland Mini 1000 Mark 4 with Ali G’s Renault 5 GT Turbo Série 2? Well, quite the amalgamation it turns out.
Rumour on the street is that Bean and Ali G have been isolating in lockdown together for the past few months, and as a result, Ali has had his way with Bean’s beloved Mini much to his dismay – but while Bean thinks it’s a bit adolescent/juvenile/raw for his taste – we are liking this modern take on what is now considered a classic.
As you can see from the above image, Ali G has added a wide body kit to the vehicle, lowered it MASSIVELY, added a huge spoiler and new thicker wheels. While originally shocked and apprehensive, Bean seems happy with his new whip as he leans up against the driver’s side smiling at the camera.
Now on to the next question, what will Bean do to Ali G’s Renault 5 below?
Well firstly, we think Bean will take the initiative to turn this thing straight back to stock to start things off – which we are convinced will annoy his fellow isolation buddy, but Ali had his way with the Mini so now it’s Bean’s turn.
Secondly, he’s going to remove one of the wheels and turn it into a three-wheeler, paint it blue and there you go – Mr Bean has inadvertently turned Ali G’s beloved Renault 5 GT Turbo into Bean’s nemesis’ car, the Reliant Regal.
He’ll soon realise what he’s done though and begin to make further modifications, but give him time. Until then, for more mad musings from the lockdown – stay tuned to Grand Tour Nation.
