New Toyota Supra Completely Revealed In Press Leaks

This moment has been building for a long time now – the total unveiling of the (too) long-awaited Toyota Supra.

These photos were sent out by Toyota Germany to those who had registered their interest in the Supra on the website. And while this could have been a purposeful move by Toyota to aid the mystery of the who debacle, it was more than likely a mistake as press images are yet to be released anywhere else.

While we’ve seen the front of the car in a previous leak, we’ve never been able to look over the whole car without its digital camouflage wrap. We will of course be seeing the car in person next month at the North American International Auto Show.

Until then, what do we think of the design? Personally, I’m warming to the nose, especially now they’ve removed the awkward looking concept bumper and lined the hood curvature up with the more Supra-looking grills and headlights. I am however, having trouble accepting the rear end of the car. It looks squashed and fat – like the actual design was slowly backed into something unmovable and they couldn’t be bothered to pull the damage back about again.

The Supra should have a larger rear overhang, but this is what happens when you share the same chassis as the next BMW Z4 – cars get confused, and therefore so does their styling.

I can’t wait to get my hands on a press release of the new car, but until then, I’m going to sit back and watch how things unfold. Never have I been so nervous for a release of a car, but this isn’t just a car is it? It’s a legend. And Toyota have the responsibility to d it justice.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
