Someone Has Forced A Viper V10 Into A Honda S2000

The Honda S2000 has been a well respected car amongst enthusiasts since its arrival to the market in 1999. It’s light and well balanced, with a high revving engine producing immense power thanks to a little think called VTEC. In fact, the powerplant hidden under the sports car’s long bonnet is the most powerful, naturally aspirated four-cylinder ever used in a car.

So, if you decide to perform an engine swap, you better make it one hell of a choice. And what’s better than the V10 from a Dodge Viper? According to Engine Swap Depot, this car was built by the Norwegian company Trønder Bataljonen Racing for drifter Kristine Sandvik. The 8.3-litre, actually sourced from a 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10, produces 506hp and 542lb-ft of torque, which is forced through a T56 six-speed manual and pushed to the floor via a welded differential.

As you can tell from the photos, they didn’t stop there, also adding a widebody kit to house wider tyres and bigger brakes, a Koyo radiator sits behind the front bumper, and a number of upgrades are made to improve its drifting performance like an angle kit and hydraulic handbrake. Sat at the rear is a custom fuel cell which feeds the engine via two high-flow Bosch fuel pumps. To add the cherry on top of this blisteringly quick car, pink under glow neons match the not-so-subtle paintwork.

We’ve seen similar engine swaps on S2000s before, but this has to be one of the prettiest examples we’ve seen. The team has obviously put some serious time into the build, and just looking at the interior shots, they really haven’t cut corners.
