Tesla Model X Beats Lamborghini Aventador SV On Quarter Mile! – Daily Update

In this daily roundup we go from excruciatingly fast electric cars to Hammond’s Midget, which isn’t very fast at all. Or good for that matter.

Tesla Model X Beats Lamborghini Aventador SV On Quarter Mile!

By now we know electric cars are fast. They somehow seem to spew ridiculous figures of torque from their motors, but more importantly, this torque is engaged instantly. It’s hard to imagine how fast something is by just reading numbers on a press release, so maybe the video above will show you just how potent these cars with batteries can be. Simply astonishing. Even though I’d still take the Lambo.

Is It Okay To Skip Gears On A Manual Transmission?

There seems to be a common myth that you should travel up and down the gears of a manual car in a sequential manner. That is, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and back down again. But can you travel from, let’s say, 2nd to 5th? Short answer? Yes. But you have to do it correctly. Take a look at the video above to finally put an end to this myth.

Leaked Photos Of The New BMW M5

Finally, BMW have taken to AWD like its competitors. But don’t you fear, the front wheels and be completely disengaged, producing a completely rear-wheel driven sports saloon. Can its ferocious performance be reflected in its aesthetics, though? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

This Lamborghini Go-Kart Is Insane!

Produced by Heffner Performance, this crazy Lambo go-kart is based on the Gallardo powertrain, but boasting a pair of turbos fitted to the V10 engine, produces much more than the original car. 1000bh to be exact. That much power in a car that weighs very little will make the toughest of racing drivers’ spines tingle. The weight? 1150kg. That means 500bhp per tonne. How scary!

A Midget Drives A Midget

After seeing Hammond drive his Mustang for the very first time since his accident, he’s just released a video of him driving something on the other end of the scale – An MG Midget. Yes, there are obviously jokes to be had here. He explains how the Midget isn’t actually that good a car, but yet he still loves it. Although by the end of the video, he wants his Mustang back. You can find the video here, or by clicking the heading.

Alex Harrington

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
