The Czinger 21C Is A New Hybrid Hypercar Made In California

The Geneva Motor Show entrants are hotting up as new Californian company Czinger Vehicles reveals that it will be unveiling its first hypercar at the legendary car show next month.

It’s called the 21C, and wields a hybrid powertrain that can be heard in the video below. More details regarding its powertrain have been hard to come by, though I’m sure they will be released closer to the time of its reveal. From the video audio, it certainly sounds the part.

The company tells us that it will feature an iconic design and technology that will deliver “dominating performance”. On top of that, it will have an in-line seating position and an in-house developed “strong” hybrid powertrain. Its chassis is bespoke and cutting edge, and has “advanced components constructed using novel technologies”. As you can see from the photos scattered on this page, its body is carbon fibre.

Its cockpit looks similar to that of a Le Mans race car, and carrying on this theme is its centre-lock wheels and large rear wing.

“Czinger it’s the first of its kind to develop novel additive manufacturing technologies to devise a groundbreaking hypercar,” the press release promises. And looking closely, we can see why. Founder and CEO Kevin Czinger also owns Divergent 3D, which was the first company to make a 3D printed hypercar names the Divergent Blade. Obviously, this new car is a continuation of this.

The car, that was built from the ground up in Los Angeles, California, will debut at the Geneva Motor Show March 3 from 11:00 a.m. CET. We’re looking forward to hearing more about it.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
