The Rolls-Royce Cullinan Is The Best Selling Car In Rolls-Royce History
What a surprise, a big SUV has outsold every other non-SUV in the Rolls-Royce lineup. In fact, the Cullinan outsold every Rolls-Royce ever built, according to Top Gear.
This ‘high-sided vehicle’, as Rolls refers to it as, is the most exclusive and most expensive car of the British carmaker’s portfolio, and is its attempt at cashing in on the SUV rage that doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon. 2019 saw Rolls sell 5,152 cars around the world, 25% more than the previous year, and that is all thanks to the Cullinan. No wonder they named the car after the largest diamond ever found.
While this car acts as a money printer, Rolls-Royce is making sure they maintain momentum when it comes to its other models. Therefore, the Ghost is undergoing a full rework for later this year after 6 years without an update.
It will sit on the same platform that each new Rolls is using, and of course this means it will be simply fantastic. According to the company, it will “elevate the Ghost name to new heights of excellence and ambition in design, engineering, materials and driving dynamics”. That’s something we can definitely look forward to, so we’ll be keeping you updated as we hear more.
