Custom Built Porsche 964 911 By Russell Built Fabrication Turns Everything to 11
You already know about Baja spec air-cooled Porsche 911s, but this custom-made 964 made by Russell Built Fabrication takes the idea to the next level.
As you can tell from the photos, this car has undergone some huge changes from its pure, unadulterated, and original chassis. For example, its track has been widened by 14 inches, and it’s not 3 inches longer than standard. Adjustable coil overs sit at each corner enabling the car to house four simply monstrous tyres underneath its flared arches, with a 2.5-inch set sat at the front to allow up to 12 inches of suspension travel, and a 3-inch pair at the back for 13.5 inches of travel. The thick tyres are Toyo Open Country A/T IIs, and these are pulled together via a NASCAR-style sway bar.
The engine, a 3.6-litre Rothsport Racing flat-six, not boasts 3.8-litres with custom internals, throttle bodies, and a new manifold making it good for 365hp and 310lb ft of torque. Plus, to give the car even more get up, all the body panels have been swapped for lighter versions. 400lbs have been removed from the car, and with an extra 100hp, this is no pushover.
The inside has also had a going over with a Chromoly race-spec roll cage, folding Sparco SPX carbon seats, a Motec digital display, and if you do go too hard and the worst does happen, there’s a locking box in the back for your spare tools. Handy.
This Porsche can be yours for a whopping $380,000, but can reach an even higher price of $650,000 for a full on luxury variant.
