Toyota GR Supra Render Shows Epic Open Top Design

It hasn’t been long since Toyota itself teased an open-top image of the Supra, and as it shares the majority of its parts with its sister car, the new convertible BMW Z4, something like this isn’t completely unimaginable. Obviously, this car hasn’t gone further than an image on a screen, but renderings from JONSIBAL on Facebook has shown us precisely what a Targa top Supra could look like.

While the real thing would need extra bracing thanks to it losing the rigidity of its roof, this rendering can do away with realism and instead focus on the gorgeously sculpted bodywork. The fenders are wider, the car is lower, and there’s a black aero package that contrasts nicely to the teal paint colour of the body. At the rear there’s a ducktail spoiler, and this Supra sits on four aftermarket black wheels.

There have been rumours of a Targa top roofed Supra before the A90 was even put into production, but further confirmation on this becoming a reality is still up in the air. We can only cross our fingers and hope that Toyota still has more to reveal from the iconic sports car.
