Watch A Ford GT Run From And Evade Cops After Getting Caught Speeding On Rally

It’s 2019, and yet this video still makes me want to grab a car and go on a rally. YouTube star, Rob Ferretti takes to the passenger seat of a Ford GT for this specific video with an unknown driver in the driver’s seat. On a rally across America – the Bullrun maybe – it’s important to have good communication with the other drivers involved. So the cars are kitted out with radios, as well as laser jammers and radar detectors.

While cruising at high speeds on the freeway, Rob suddenly spots a cop and urges the driver to slam on the brakes. The radar detector lights up as the situation is radio’d through to the other drivers. After some confusion as to whether or not the cop is actually coming, they slide down a gear and push the Ford GT through traffic with its V8 engine snarling like an animal.

Running quickly looks to be futile as there is apparently a cop further up the road, so they position themselves with a truck in between their line of site with the cop and make their way to the next exit. This is where the video above finishes, but you can watch the full video, albeit slightly lower quality, below.

They manage to take the exit and hide in a bike shop to wait out the onslaught of police cars, and according to comments on both of the videos above, they eventually evade them and carry on.

I know it’s an old video, but it’s way too good to not show you guys!

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: alex@grandtournation.com
