Watch Senna Obliterate Monaco in 1990 GP
If you watched the Monaco race last weekend you… probably would have turned it off half way through knowing that it wasn’t going to get any better. Of course, as a lot of you stated, the race wasn’t overly exciting. Even with Ricciardo’s car low on power and not setting exceptionally good times, the pack failed to pass him and therefore, unsurprisingly, ended the same way it started, with Ricciardo coming in first, followed by Vettel and Hamilton.

So, in an attempt to remedy the situation, here’s some onboard footage from the 1990 Monaco GP where he produced a time of 1m 21.3s putting him on pole ahead of Alain Prost.
He led every lap of the race and gained another victory before giving this famous line:
“I realised I was well beyond my conscious understanding… I was way over the limit but still able to find more.”
What a legend.
