Jay Leno Breaks Number Of Bones In Gruesome Motorcycle Incident Months After Burns

Jay Leno, former late-night talk show host, has recently experienced multiple injuries in a motorcycle accident. Leno was testing a 1940 Indian motorcycle when he noticed the smell of leaking fuel. He then turned down a side street, only to be hit by a wire strung across a parking lot. As a result of the accident, Leno broke his collarbone, two ribs, and two kneecaps.

In an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Leno stated:

“But I’m OK! I’m OK, I’m working. I’m working this weekend.”

Despite his injuries, Leno remains optimistic and is continuing with his work as a standup comedian in Vegas.

This recent incident follows another accident that Leno experienced in November, where he suffered burns to his face while working on an antique 1907 car. He explained the incident during an appearance on “Today”:

“The fuel line was clogged so I was underneath it. It sounded clogged and I said, ‘Blow some air through the line,’ and so he did. And suddenly, boom, I got a face full of gas. And then the pilot light jumped and my face caught on fire.”

Leno initially did not go public about the motorcycle accident due to the publicity he received after the November incident. However, upon his hospital discharge following the burn incident, he posed for a photo with some of the employees at Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles where he was treated.

“So I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it.

“So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clothesline me and, boom, knocked me off the bike.”

Despite these accidents, Jay Leno remains positive and continues to work.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
