John Wick’s Car Revealed For Chapter 4 Upcoming Film

The trailer has just been released for John Wick Chapter 4 and fans will be pleased to know the theme of iconic American muscle cars is continuing into the next film.

The first film started off with John Wick’s 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 being stolen which kicks off the story from there. Now, in the upcoming fourth film, the trailer shows Keanu Reeves, who plays John Wick, with a 1971 Plymouth Cuda.

The trailer for the film coming out on 24th March 2023, has plenty of typical John Wick content being full of action, bulletproof suits and the regular faces fans will be getting used to, including Donnie Yen, Lance Reddick, and Laurence Fishburne.

In the short moment we see the Plymouth Cuda, Reeves slides over the bonnet of the black muscle car whilst shooting through the windshield at the enemy and racing down the road shooting out of the driver’s doorway that has the door missing. Although we only see the iconic car very briefly, it is still very clear from the chrome grills on the side and the body shape.

The other legendary cars that are included in the John Wick franchise include the Mustang, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396, and a 2011 Dodge Charger. As mentioned, the first film starts off with the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429.

Viewers see Wick at a petrol station filling up the Mustang and as he gets ready to leave, three men pull up to the side of him and one compliments him on the car and asks him if it is a 1970 model, to which Wick quickly responds to saying it is in fact a 1969. Eagled eyed fans will probably have picked up on the fact that although they claim it is the 1969 Mustang Boss 492 in the film, the producers actually made the decision to use a Mustang Mach 1.

The 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 comes in after Wick’s Mustang is stolen at the start of the first film and he needed another car to get around in. It’s difficult to know where to move next from a Mustang, but the directors did not disappoint with the Chevelle. The model benefits from a turbo-jet 396 V8 engine providing up to 375 horsepower.

The 2011 Dodge Charger is one of the more modern cars featured in the film franchise for the thrilling car chases. The 2011 Charger either came with a 375 horsepower, 5.7 litre Hemi V8, or a 470 horsepower, 6.4 litre V8, however, it is not clear which model features in the film.

The 1971 Plymouth Cuda has been a popular choice for film makers for some time, having featured in many films and TV series such as Gone In Sixty Seconds in 2000, The Dilemma in 2011, and The Detour from 2016-2019.

Although we have to wait until March to see the fourth John Wick film, we are already getting excited to see the action-packed movie to hit our screens.
