Koenigsegg Teases New Hypercar In The From Of New Year’s Resolution

Koenigsegg is a force to be reckoned with in the supercar market as its owner Christian Von Koenigsegg jumps from strength to strength. The company has created some of the fastest, most high-performance cars on the planet – see the Agera RS – while also creating technological marvels in the form of the Regera.

Now, they’ve teased the next supercar to come from its coveted factory. It came in the form of a New Year’s Resolution for the company, which posted a photo to its Instagram account with the following caption:

“Dear 2022, here’s our New Year’s resolution—More ultimate performance through clever engineering and optimal design.

“Here we go!”

Annoyingly, there’s not a lot to make out from the image that shows simply the profile of the new supercar. So, what can we see? Well, there’s no spoiler or wing at the rear. In fact, there seems to be little in the form of drag-creating body parts with the car resembling a shape similar to that of the McLaren Speedtail. This wouldn’t be such a surprise if you believe that Koenigsegg may be after yet another top speed record. There’s also a small splitter at the front.

We’re yet to hear more about the new model, its powertrain, and design elements, but we’re very excited to see that there’s movement in the Koenigsegg factory. Even more exciting is the fact that 2022 marks a celebration for the brand, which has been creating cars for 20 years now beginning with the CC8S.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any hints leading up to its reveal, that’s for sure.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
