New Ford F-150 Teased With June 25th Reveal Date

After six very successful years at the helm of Fords off road division, the Ford F-150 is getting a make over with the fourteenth generation being teased worldwide.

Often when a new vehicle is teased, you have to wait rather a while until the official reveal, especially with the current global situation and COVID-19 pushing a lot of reveals back indefinitely. However, Ford have done us a solid and aren’t making us wait too long with the official reveal being set for June 25th.

The teaser image, leaves rather a lot to the imagination with the the new model drenched in shadow with only the silhouette of the vehicle being the one thing we can gleam some kind of information from. To start with, the lights, which are most likely LED daytime running lamps, outline the front headlights and are twinned with a shorter segment on either side of the bumper.

The teaser images appears to be pretty similar to the earlier rendering from F150GEN14, and the hood also matches the render with its raised centre and squared off side mirrors.

Its safe to say, the above details are good as confirmed but we’ll have to wait for the official unveiling on June 25th for all the finer details. Grand Tour Nation have seen spy photos leaked of the interior of the vehicle which give us a little more information to salivate over until the reveal date later this month.

In terms of what is going to be under the hood, nothing is expected to change too much and will most likely come with the same engine options and ten-speed automatic transmission as its predecessor.

There are rumoured new electrical models to come from Ford however, which would make sense given their push for all electric and hybrid vehicles recently. The plug-in hybrid edition is expected in 2021 but an all-electric model is also expected some time later. Whether either model will be announced at the reveal event we don’t know but here is hoping.

For all things Ford F-150, stay tuned to Grand Tour Nation.
