Polaris Teases An Updated, More Modern Slingshot For 2020

It’s been almost 5 years since the weird and wonderful Polaris Slingshot has undergone any significant change. But now the British company has teased an upgraded version of the three-wheeled car for release later this year with redesigned LED headlights and daytime running lights.

A second image gives us a more detailed look, showing the removal of the central round lights in place for a small LED light bar. It also looks like it has a changed front grille and a more aggressive host of body paneling up front. A performance change hasn’t been announced, so we could expect the same GM-sourced 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine to be used with 173hp and 165lb-ft of torque.

Currently, the model begins with an entry level variant called the S that starts at $19,999. Add almost another $6,000 and you get the SL which features a 7-inch multi-touch display, larger 18-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, and a 100-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system. It also comes with gorgeous stitched seats and a reversing camera. The higher models, SLR and Slingshot Grand Touring, are priced at $28,999 and $29,499 respectively.
