Take A Ride With Hailie Deegan On Circuit Of The Americas
NASCAR is making its debut in Austin, Texas later this year, where cars will race on Circuit of Americas in the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and the Camping World Truck Series. Racing in the Truck Series is Hailie Deegan, a young favourite of fans. She has a YouTube channel where she posts her experiences behind the wheel, and her latest video shows her getting some experience United Stated Formula 1 venue.
Skip Barber Racing School helped Deegan put some time on this circuit, going her a Ford Mustang with 325 horsepower to play with. Other NASCAR drivers such as Ross Chastain and Quin Houff were also there to test their chops, but with Deegan only getting two hours of experience with her Truck, this is an important time for her to get some serious seat time on this tarmac.
After receiving some tips from Skip Barber instructors, you can tell that she had a lot of fun, pushing her limits on the track, pushing further into the inside curbs, and even testing where she can go off the track and safely rejoin. It’s no secret that the Truck Series is very aggressive, but with Deegan admitting that the track wasn’t as technical as she expected, she has high hopes.
