This Insane Isuzu D-Max Truck Has Five Turbos And 3 Nitrous Bottles

A twin-turbo setup was the dog’s bo***ks ten years ago. To be honest, for the majority of us it still is. But then Bugatti went and slammed four turbos onto its W16 and now twin-turbos aren’t at the top of the food chain. But when Thailand-based YouTuber, Chad Burdette, bought a 3.0-litre Isuzu D-Max truck, he took it up another level.

This truck has five turbos strapped to its diesel 4JJ1-TCX engine. That’s one more turbo than it has cylinders! I think it’s safe to say that these days, that tired old engine isn’t producing only 187 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque anymore.

The turbos are from GReddy, and are sat on top of the engine in front of the windscreen, but whilst it looks really cool, we don’t have any numbers to figure out just how fast this thing is. Despite this, who cares? It looks brilliant and the engineering work that’s gone into the build is worthy of our respect regardless of the power it produces. Just look closely at the welds on the titanium exhaust components. Yum.

To top it off, if you didn’t think that was enough, there are three nitrous bottles ready to push even more oxygen into the engine. Who wants a go?
