No, it hasn’t got streaming hayfever or an eye infection, it’s got 797bhp and a quarter mile time of 11.1 seconds. What you see above is Dodge’s new Challenger Hellcat, the Redeye. And while the name isn’t quite right, the performance figures make up for it.
It’s not quite as fast as the acclaimed Demon, but adds another 90 horses on top of the original Hellcat and boasts a metal-bendig torque figure of 707lb ft. That’s 57lb ft up compared to the original model and without the widebody option ticked (seen in the photos above) it will hit the quarter mile a tenth faster than the standard car. The widebody version is a tad slower but makes up for it in its damn good looks and intimidating stance.
It will also breach the 200mph wall by another 3mph and will reach 60mph in just 3.4 seconds.
