This Mid-Engined Chevrolet Camaro Makes Us Forget About The C8 Corvette

We recently showed you a render of what a Camaro could look like if it took the fight to the C8 Corvette and embraced the life of a mid-engined supercar. Now, a lot of you emailed in to tell me that you didn’t like it. The number one reason? The colour.

The Camaro that we showed you was a bright yellow, orangey colour with aftermarket wheels wearing the same paint and… yeah, it was pretty rough. But now, a new render has been made, and with simply a colour change, it is looking 100% better.

We Didn’t Want It, But Now We Need A Mid-Engined Camaro

Now with a silver chrome wrap… or paintjob (does it even matter what it is on a render), the black accents lining the side intakes of the car really pop. It seems as though designer Rostislav Prokop (@rostislav_prokop on Instagram) of Olomouc, Czech Republic really knows what he’s doing when it comes to choosing the right colour for the car.

Like the yellow car, the front is certainly Camaro, but the nose is shorter thanks to it not needing to house a 6.2-litre LT1 V8. Instead, the rear resembles the new Corvette C8 with a swooping tail and smoked out tail lights.

Does The Chrome Work?

For me, hell yeah it does. But let me know what you think in the comments below because I also liked the last one and, obviously, that didn’t do down so well.

Of course, like I said in the previous article, it’s very unlikely that we’ll see the Camaro reimagined by Chevrolet as a mid-engined car. Not only because it was always meant to be a cheap, blue collar muscle car, but it would also improach on the new Corvette. And Chevrolet isn’t going to pull a WV and compete with its own company is it?

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
