Wife Buys Husband A Custom Dodge Durango Hellcat

Dodge won’t make a Durango Hellcat, so one intrepid Durango owner decided to get one made for her husband. The result? A custom Dodge Durango Hellcat from Plum Floored Creations, a Mopar shop near Phoenix.

The new beast is packed with a 6.2L supercharged V8 Hellcat motor, but instead of the stock 2.3L supercharger, it comes with a 2.9L Whipple pushing 11 lbs of boost. To accomodate the larger supercharger, the 356-T6 alloy 6.2L heads were CNC machined, and the entire exhaust system was swapped with a custom 3 inch system all the way back.

The stock transmission was replaced with a 6 speed ATS Stage 3 unit with a billet input shaft, billet torque converter, and a one piece aluminum driveshaft. To stop all this power, the brakes were replaced with Brembo 6 piston calipers with 15 inch drilled and slotted rotors in the front, and 4 piston calipers with 13.8 drilled and slotted rotors in the back.

Wrap that whole package up in a new Hellcat inspired graphics package and a new hood, and you’ve got yourself a new Durango Hellcat that puts down 698 HP at the crank, and 570 HP at the wheels on a dyno.

Plum Floored Creations will be able to replicate the entire setup if you’re so inclined for approximately $40,000, so you better REALLY want a souped up Durango for that kind of dough.
